ok, it's 5.5 hours into the new year's read-a-thon...

i've already finished vision in white by nora roberts - i've been trying to finish this book for FOREVER...just ask one of my work bff's scarlett. seriously, it's been a while...





so now, instead of trying to finish one of the other ones that i'm working on, i started 2 more new ones of course!

reading into the new year...

since my future hubs is sick today and will most likely be tomorrow and most of the weekend, i've decided to catch up on some of my reading! :)

i don't really have a straight up goal for how much i'm going to try to read, but maybe 10 hours? i'm not sure what my mind can handle...i've never really done any marathon reading before, but i'm definitely going to try my best...

hopefully i can take mini-breaks to post about my progress!
i think a trip to the used bookstore is in order sometime before 5 pm...ha!

my own tbr challenge...

ok, here's the deal...
i have a tbr (to be read) pile of books in my room hundreds of books tall. seriously. no joke. if you need proof, i can take pictures.

so, in order to (hopefully) alleviate some of the pressure of moving all of these hundreds of books with me when i get married in october, i'm creating my own tbr challenge!

i'm already working towards reading 100+ books this year, so my goal is out of all the books that i read this year, i will get at least 25% of those from my current tbr pile hopefully without adding just as much back to it. deal? deal!

and the ones on my kindle do not count.

new beginning in 2010!

so after i've developed a fascination with bloggers who blog about books that they loved/hated/want to read/etc, i've decided to start one of my own...

i've already joined one challenge to read 100+ books in 2010, so in order for me to keep up with them and to keep you informed on what i actually think of them, i decided to somewhat expand my wedding planning adventures to include my book reading adventures. fun, huh?

i know i'm going to be crazy busy in the near future, but i'm really hoping to be able to keep this one up as well as the other one! :)

my next post will most likely be at the beginning of the new year when i complete my first book of this challenge. i'm hoping that next year i'll be able to do a couple more of these when we're settled in our new place and the wedding will be over with :) hopefully things will be a little easier then...

until then...let me know if you have any suggestions!
